Browser and device requirements

What you need to sit an interview, and which parts need a larger screen.

• A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
• A working camera and microphone, and permission granted to the browser.
• A stable connection. Wired or a good wifi signal is better than a mobile connection in a moving vehicle.

Screen size

A screening conversation works on a phone. Coding and system design interviews do not: they need an editor or a diagramming canvas alongside the conversation, and a phone-sized screen cannot show both without making one of them unusable. Those interviews ask you to move to a laptop or desktop rather than letting you start and struggle.

That check happens before the interview begins, so you will not lose time to it.
